In this cord cutting era, there are streaming services coming up every other day. Netflix isn’t the only option anymore. There are various other services that not many may have heard of but are good nevertheless.
One such service is FuboTV. This live television streaming service is focused on sports broadcasts, and lets you watch live sports (also TV shows) on your PC, Mac, Android, iOS, FireStick, or Apple TV. All you need is a high-speed Internet connection and a computer or mobile device.
What Is FuboTV?
FUBOTV – A SPORTS-DEDICATED STREAMING CHANNEL
There aren’t too many streaming services dedicated to sports, so FuboTV is certainly drawing attention.

FuboTV was launched only in 2015. That makes it a fairly new service in the market. But in this short time, it has not only made a name for itself but also attracted several investors. This year, in round D of funding, FuboTV raised $75 million, making the total investment $150 million.
Although there are some local channels included, the focus is on the sports channels. If you pay for cable only for watching sports, FuboTV is an astute choice for you because there is minimal fluff. You only get live shows and sports-related channels.
Perhaps no other streaming service offers the kind of sports content that FuboTV does. Sling TV comes close, but it doesn’t have the number of channels that FuboTV does. Other streaming services, like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, offer on-demand video content, but not the kind of live sports and TV that you get to watch on fuboTV.
HOW DOES FUBOTV WORK?
Streaming services are known to offer a wide range of plans, which can turn out to be confusing. But FuboTV likes to keep it simple with only three plans, depending on the language.

The first plan is fubo Premier, which has 65+ English language channels, as well as sports channels like NBCSN and FS1 and local channels like A&E, Bravo, and FX.
The next plan is fubo Latino, which has over 10 Spanish channels, and sports channels like Fox Deportes, and cable networks like Nat Geo Mundo and Univision.
The third plan is fubo Português, which offers over five Portuguese channels, including Benfica TV, RTP International, and GOL TV.
The first plan, fubo Premier, offers the maximum number of channels, but fubo Latino and fubo Português offer sports content in those languages that other streaming services don’t have at all.

Much like other streaming services, FuboTV offers local channels where it has contracts with local affiliates. Even if you don’t live in a region where local channels are supported, you will still be able to access on-demand content.

The broadcasts of matches from Russia on FOX and FS1 were available in 4K HDR10 on all compatible Chromecast and Fire TV devices. In the coming weeks, FuboTV will also launch 4K HDR10 on Roku and Apple TV.
Besides a compatible device, bandwidth speeds of 30Mbps-40Mbps or higher are recommended to view the content properly. In a press release, FuboTV said it is the first vMVPD to begin live streaming in 4K HDR, even ahead of DirecTV Now, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and YouTube TV. That is about as amazing as tax cuts!

In September last year, New York-based FuboTV said that the company had crossed 100,000 subscribers. The service now offers over 70 channels, at a starting price of $45 a month.
Last year, FuboTV rolled out an Advanced DVR add-on feature that lets subscribers store up to 500 hours of programs on the cloud for an additional $9.99 per month.
Until then, FuboTV offered only a basic version of its cloud DVR along with all its packages, which let subscribers store up to 30 hours of content. With this update, subscribers with the more basic DVR service could keep their content stored indefinitely, as long as they remained an active subscriber.
AMAZING QUALITY!
FuboTV subscribers, along with other sports lovers, will be itching to watch their favorite games in 4K HDR.

There is no additional charge for viewing content in 4K, but subscribers do require a compatible device and enough bandwidth for a steady connection and proper quality. Even those who had never heard of FuboTV until now will be flocking to subscribe because of the lure of watching their favorite sports events in 4K HDR right at home.
